3 of us are going to las vegas for 10 days in september,staying at circus circus, we are all 21 and have no idea where to begin when we arrive in vegas,if you could give me any ideas that would be great.

If we stay just off the strip, or at the far ends of the strip, is it possible to walk to places easily? How long does it take? Would it be possible to walk? Does anyone have any recommendations for reasonably priced hotels anywhere in Vegas?

Which is the best and cheapest way to get a room in Vegas: making advance reservation (online or phone) or showing up the front desk the day of arrival and getting the room right there and then. Arriving in Vegas on a Sunday and staying for 4 days. Please advise.

Me and a few girlfriends are going to Vegas on the 23/24th and we're looking for a place to stay for cheap...
We have no problem crowding into one room, we're just trying to save money (that we'll end up spending on booze haha)... any suggestions or places with great discounts?
We're students, we've got AAA... any discount helps... but everything that weekend looks like we'll be spending about $450 just for the two nights (for one room!)
