We have a no smoking policy in our guest house. Smoke is then easily identified. Last weekend we found cigarette burns in a brand new carpet guests denied it was them even though cigarette butts were found in the room and in a plastic jug they had used as an ashtray. All because some person decided to break the law and smoke within the confines of the bedroom so I agree with anyone informing the hotel owners of smelling smoke from a bedroom. I can't believe that a hotel would put themselves at risk with cameras, but will agree with smoke detectors. It is serious to smoke when you can put other peoples lives at risk within a hotel environment, as well as damaging property.

yes they do if they catch you, or your room smells of smoke or they see the butts. Just go into the hall, if the whole floor is non smoking just take an elevator ride down to the lobby, yea it may be a hassle but better than them charging you a fee or fine for smoking in ur non smoking room

Yes they do. Hey, just quit smoking or just go down to the casino and smoke. The smell gets into the carpet, drapes and everything else in the room. Be kind to the next person checking in and don't smoke in a non-smoking room ... the next person might be allergic to smoke.

Yes, and they can also charge you for the cleaning of the room and it is not cheap. Just get a smoking room and save the hassle.

Majority of the time, no ( not to be mean, they don't speak english anyway). I smoked cigarettes in a non-smoking room before. Just bring cologne/perfume, and open windows to air out it the night before you leave. You will be okay!

I'm sure they do.

Get a room where you can smoke in it if you are a smoker, so that you won't have to pay for any damages.

If you plan on smoking, why don't you just request a smoking room?
