Orleans always tops my list of LV hotels for great value. "Trip Advisor" >travelers voted the Orleans the #2 "best value" hotel in the world

If money is no object
Venetian
Caesars Palace
Wynn
Bellagio

Best of the 4 stars
Luxor
Paris
Mirage
Golden Nugget

Best of the 3 star
Silverton
Orleans
Barbary Coast
Fiesta Henderson

Best Downtown
Golden Nugget
Main Street Station

Best Locals
Orleans
Sam's Town

my favorite sites to check LV room rates

The best way to keep rates down is to avoid special events, large conventions and weekends.

travelworm usually has the best prices, I ran June 29th-July 6th through to see what they had. I didn't find any great deals, but there were some reasonable rates. These are hotels that I would recommend, for various reasons.

Stratosphere - $53 - Nice hotel - Far North end of the strip

Sam's Town - $62 - Great place to gamble, nice rooms, on the Boulder hwy.

Golden Nugget - $76 - 4 star hotel, downtown

Orleans - $77 - not their usual great price, nice everything, off strip. Will price match the online rate

Frontier - $85 - 1br suite - only on the list because you can get the 1br suite for the price of a room.

Flamingo - $101 - awesome pool, great location, rooms are so so.TW is offering 10% off - The Flamingo will price match this online price and beat it by 25% if you follow their rules. At 25% off the $101 this would be a really good deal...

Luxor - $116 - 4 star, very nice pool, pyramid rooms are cool(IMHO) .

You can use the Las Vegas Advisor site above to link to each of these hotels, and any other you're interested in. If it were me I would hold a room now through the hotel then keep looking for a better price. The only sure thing about LV room rates is that they will go up or down. Of the above hotels if you will go to the web site of the Golden Nugget, Luxor and Stratosphere and sign up for their e-mail updates they are very good about sending out room rate specials. They usually only send them out for a month or two ahead of time though.

when we went.. we stayed at the Flamingo Hilton.. It was pretty much halfway down the strip.. in a great location, with the Mirage across the street, and the Imperial Palace was next door, with a free car museum inside. (We took an hour and went and wandered around over there, just to take a break from the noise, and spending money)

Have a great time, whereever you stay!

Go on expedia, and make a fake trip with hotel. They will provide you a list of all hotels and their ratings, and their rates.

Depends upon what your interest are-- have children and want a pool--Mandalay Bay, want to gamble-- Caesar's or MGM, want romance--Four Seasons or Belligo, want to impress your friends back home --Wynn,
Want off the Strip, downtown--Fitzgeralds, way west, Red Rock or Marriott, east side Green Valley
All have casino's-- pools--resturants-- and the ability to meet your requests.

We stayed at The Aladdin and New York, New York last year and I would recommend NY NY over The Aladdin.
