I know I have my question in the wrong section but I can not find the right section for this and need help right away.I moved to Texas and descovered Texas is one huge ant hill.My almost 23 month old gets attacked by these annoying red ants daily.I have 3 acres of land. What is the cheapest and most effective ant killer out there? And do these red ants carry anything bad that my son can catch? These bites are painful to him when he first gets them and then itches him for a few days. Also he gets pus in every single bite he gets,I do too sometimes. He`s averaging a few ant bites to 20 a day and Im fed up with it.Anyone that can help I will appreciate it.Keep in mind any ant killer you suggest has to be safe for him and my cats and dogs to be around.

I will be in Houston on business this weekend and will be taking my 6 yr old daughter. I have heard about the Aquarium downtown and Hermann Park Zoo. Which of these would you recommend for a fun afternoon? I am also open to other suggestions. (we will be staying central between 610 and 59) Thanks!

Hi, I currently live in Puerto Rico and even though I love living here Im seriosly considering moving to Texas. I keep leaning more towards Houston and Katy but my job transfer would be easier to Dallas. The problem is PR is just getting way to expensive comparing what you make to how much things cost in an Island since almost everything has to be imported and since space is limited the land cost are way high if you are thinking of building a home or buying. Since I live in PR Im very used to the hot weather, rain, and humidity, not so much the cold weather. How are the winters? Are there many jobs available. I also am completly bilingual does this make it easier to find a good paying job. I have a 8 year old daughter, is It a good place to raise children? I keep hearing about the traffic in Houston whats all that about is it really that bad? How long does it take to drive from Katy to dowtown Houston? What about Dallas?
Sorry so many questions....

Today, in the mail, I received three notices from the Harris County toll division. I had a total of 9 toll violations. I am from the state of georgia, and I was in Houston to visit a friend. I am not familiar with the rules and regulations of Texas. Moreover, I did not see a toll booth. And did not notice the EZ tag system. If there was a toll booth, I would have loved to pay Harris County for their ridiciulus infrasturcture. But I am outraged at their lousy system of collecting money from an innocent citizen

Hello, I'm looking for some information from people around the United States for moving advice. I currently reside in Houston, and I plan to leave due to the humidity, overpopulation, and declining neighborhoods.

I'm looking to move towards a place with a generally warm, dry climate (no humidity!), a mid-size population, and an affordable housing market ( I plan to make around $45,000 yearly after I complete college). So far, I've thought about Flagstaff, Arizona but I understand it is very expensive to live there. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I'm originally from n. california, and have lived in massachusetts + connecticut in addition to living in katy briefly and found a place of solitude in pasadena. I enjoy it there more than katy b.c. the houses seem all alike--a bit too cookie-cutter for me and it's a bit yuppy...anyway, besides the main ? I had, I'm wondering if others who made the move encounter quite a bit of condescencion from the californians who don't even want to visit tx. if the plane tix and lodging were provided for free. I'm loving tx and the kinder ppl. here...just wondering.
