I'd recommend Sugar Land first followed by Katy. They both have great school systems and are booming with development now. The worst thing about Katy though is the I-10 expansion that will take probably another 6 years to finish.

I live in Katy, but if I had it to do all over again I would opt for Sugarland or The Woodlands. These areas are just more upscale and everything seems so pleasing to the eye. The Woodlands is just so far though. I would seriously look into Sugarland.
The only rason I don't like Katy is because it is less of a planned community. The newer areas near the Grand Parkway are really nice and I would move there in a heartbeat. But the Mason Road area just looks so trashy. And definitely stay away from Katy North of I-10. Those cheap prices over there are cheap for a reason. There is higher crime over there, and just a trashy environment.
Just consider where you will be working and the traffic. I recommend renting a house in a particular area you think you migt want to live, and then you might discover something new that you truly love. Good Luck!

I would look at the NW side of Houston. It is clean, cheaper taxes than Pearland, Katy and Sugar Land. Traffic is better because FM 288 in Pearland is only 2 lanes, Katy has I-10...don't get me started and Sugar Land has Hwy 59 which is only 2 lanes. The NW side is seconds from Beltway 8 and they are about to build a U of H campus off Hwy 249! Tons of housing too. Go to http://www.newtexashomes.net if you are looking for a new home.

Honestly depends where you are going to work and what kind of commute you want. Pearland is nice the commute can be bad but isn't to far out, getting lots of development right now. Sugarland is a bit farther but is very nice and getting more and more developed every time i go that way. Katy is pretty far people seem to like it but traffic can be a nightmare. Clear Lake is nice plus you can have a great view of the bay if you get the right location. Best bet is to determine where your job is or will be if you have one lined up and then check out a few places and decide what you like best.

I would say sugarland Its a nice little part of the houston area I hear bad things about pearland and Katy is just too far from any of the good stuff houston has to offer. Sugarland you can get just about anywhere in a decent amount of time and that area is beatiful to me. Clean lots of businesses and a fairly nice mall (first colony) Good luck

I think you'd be better off living in Sugarland. It's a growing community with access to SW Freeway easily. I live on the edge of sugarland. I've only been to pearland once. It's a nice suburb but kinda far from the places you wanna be. I think it depends on work and your social life on where you wanna live though. Hope everything works out.

How small of a city are you delicate with and in simple terms how a ways remote from each and every of the main substantial procuring factors are you prepared to be? which will easily make a distinction. North of I-10 yet west of I-40 5 & South of I-10 west of hwy fifty 9. in case you seem at a map of Houston, those are the factors i could be finding at. i don't think of i could evaluate lots of something on the east or ne edge of city. once you're prepared to bypass somewhat added out of Houston, take out a map and stick to Hwy 290 to Cypress, directly to Brenham, then south to Bellville, Sealy, Richmond/Rosenberg and a few others in between there. All of those cities/cities are exceptionally respectable. I ought to assert that Bellville is a neat little city with a family individuals ecosystem and good colleges. it is small although, purely approximately 4000 human beings i think. it may positioned you approximately 20 min from maximum belongings you're able to need (in Brenham) and approximately 40-40 5 for a substantial procuring section in Katy. on the grounds that holiday isn't an argument i think of it is going to frequently count on how a ways remote from the city you're able to should be. superb of success to you!

My inlaws live in Missouri City. It's nice but seems to be too far from everything (i.e. food, shopping, the highway). I prefer Sugar Land. There is so much more to do around there.
