I will be in Houston on business this weekend and will be taking my 6 yr old daughter. I have heard about the Aquarium downtown and Hermann Park Zoo. Which of these would you recommend for a fun afternoon? I am also open to other suggestions. (we will be staying central between 610 and 59) Thanks!

Try the children's museum downtown. The Aquarium is a dinning spot so hit the zoo and children's museum, which are walking distance apart, then have dinner at the Aquarium.

The zoo is cool for a 6 year old. Also I say go to Galveston to Moody Park and see it.

The fine arts festival will be downtown this weekend. $8 for adults and free for kids 12 and under.

I would find some time ( a day at least) and go to the Moody Gardens. It's a great place. Your daughter would enjoy it. We go there almost every week and we just love that place.

If you like history I would suggest to go see Battleship Texas. And not far from there NASA.

Hope you'll spend a great time.
