What are some other stores that sell cheap groceries in the Houston area and where?

Yeah, you're not going to do better with Aldi--which are mostly in Europe--when USA food prices are overall much cheaper than European grocery prices. Try the Piggly Wiggly or Winn Dixie, even Wal-Mart has groceries. Any of these stores is, on average, at least 10 times bigger than the typical Aldi shop in Europe.

We have Aldi's here but if you really think about purchasing CHEAP food, it doesn't pay in the end. Buying cheaper food, you get less the quantity. Think about it.
