I'd like to take my mother to Napa/Sonoma for her birthday, but am not familiar with the area. I'd like to do some tastings and go out to lunch. Any suggestions? She prefers white wine to red, are there any wineries with really good selections of white wines?

One more thing, her birthday is in early September. Will the weather be awful?

Im goin to be a junior in college next year... so i clearly dont have a overwhelming amount of money! but i want to move to NYC, been researching prices/sizes and locations of apartments but i just dont know what neighborhoods would be best for me.. Im not tryin to be ignorant to the situation but i dont want to move to a place where maybe i wouldnt be welcomed .. if you know what i mean........ any answers would be great!! =)

See, I wanna do everything: fine dining for at least one day in Manhattan; eat out 3-5 times, especially in Manhattan (my grandma will mainly cook at home for me, so money for food is pretty much unnecessary); I might go to all the attractions (i.e. the Met, a Yankees game) and maybe to Coney Island; eat in my hometown in Connecticut and also in New Jersey (I'm renting a car, so I don't need transportation money). Also, I want to go shopping, but not too much, and I'm not buying makeup and I plan to get some jewelry, purse(s) and shoes. So, how much money should I bring with me? Is $500 too little or do I need at least $1,000?
