Have you thought about Cass Railroad or riding the New Tygart Flyer? Both operate in the mountains and travel through some spectacular countryside. If you are interested in a resort any of the ski resorts are nice (I think they remain open to some degree throughout the year) and there are others such as Berkeley Springs, the Greenbrier Resort, and Blackwater Falls statepark. In any event, you can check West Virginia's tourism website for more ideas. Have a great trip wherever you decide to go!

I love Dolly Sods in Canaan Valley--winter or summer. Blackwater Falls state park is in the valley as well. One of the ski resorts usually offer have lift rides to the top in summer, too.
