I need some ideas on some fun things to do that are not expensive. There are just two adults going and we like to do things with animals, nature. No party or club going.

Ripleys Entertainment has their fingers wound all through Gatlinburg. If you love animals, head to the aquarium, it's really neat. They also have a Ripleys Believe it or Not Museum, mini golf, a moving theater, and a haunted house. The town is also full of shopping. If you get really bored, head up to Sevierville and go to Dollywood. Stay away from the timeshare places though. The locals, even the people who work them, call it "crimeshare".
There are also tram trips to Ober Gatlinburg, but I'm not sure what all is up there.
