Does anyone know where the Blue Room is in London? Apparently it's a cafe. It's supposed to be in or near the British Library. I've done a Google Search and looked on Google Maps, but I can't seem to find a website or directions for the place.

Has any one been to the Adelphi Theatre on the Strand in London??
Is it really big??
If i got tickets for a show seated in Row T in the Stalls, would i get a good view or not.
Is the Upper Circle really high up, so i wont be able to see any thing??

If any one has been i would be pleased to hear your views on the theatre and where the best seats are.

Thanks!

I've often wondered, how many people go by Kings Cross Station, I go back cause I take the Piccaddily then either the circle of city line from there. If I counted there probarly more then 1000 especially at peak hours!

I'm hoping to find a little hotel/pub/b&b in London for next weekend as although my partner and I would love to go away for the weekend, various things are keeping us in London. However time away from flatmates etc is needed! Am looking for somewhere preferably west-ish, or at least in Zone 2-3, that is on the cheap side (no more than £60 per night per room), and generally lacking in cockroaches and other infestations......

Being a Londoner I'm not in the need for touristy things, just somewhere cheap, clean, cosy and nice for a weekend away from flatmates... Perhaps any fellow Londoners know of somewhere secret and super?

I've seen lots of stuff on all the usual booking websites but generally get freaked out by TripAdvisor reviews, haha...

Thoughts and help appreciated...!

A friend of mine got a job offer in London; the net salary after tax deduction is 4200 pounds(monthly), is that enough for his family (wife+12 year old girl+20year old boy)????
So far he might live there with his wife and daughter until his son finishes study.
Are the 4200 enough for them to live there? I know you gona tell me that London is divided into zones..etc.
So let’s assume he will stay at the low price zone, is that enough for him?
Any good information you can provide for a person moving to London?

Cheers

I am moving in a few months, and I plan on going without a visa or work permit. I am going to stay for at least six months, probably more, and I am going to work and share a flat with my British boyfriend. How difficult is it to get a job under-the-table? And when I come home, will they get me into trouble when they check my stamped (and expired) passport upon arriving back in the United States?

I currently live in the United States but am planning on buying a home in London? Are the prices too high to buy in the metro area or is it cheaper in the suburbs? I just want to be near all the hot spots in london.

will be transitting through Gatwick at month's end enroute to US. last year on same route, even though we followed the regulations posted on the Gatwick website, we had to check our hand luggage. this was shortly after the plot to use gel explosives was uncovered, and restictions were very tight. just wondering if they have loosened up.

Whilst on a bendy bus I was seved a penalty fare for a unvalidated saver ticket, although I could not reach the driver to give it to him because of the crowd. I got the penalty a few minutes after boarding .. It was actually impossible to reach the driver without being penalised.. I appealled but this was turned down. A second appeal is possible but these London Transport m0therfvc|{ers are precisely just that.. I dont want to pay them anything because I didnt do anything wrong.

I have a job interview at the Cavalry Club, Picadilly (near the 'Hard Rock' cafe if this helps).

I will arrive in London at Waterloo train station.

Is this distance walkable (An hour/ hour and a half max for me) and is it relatively easy to get to? Green Park is the nearest tube station but I'd prefer to walk if it's feasible as I don't get to go to London often.

If the weather is poor and I jump in a taxi, very roughly how much will the journey cost? Thanks!
