Cross Waterloo Bridge. Turn left along the Strand. When you reach the other end, cross Trafalgar Square, through Admiralty Arch and walk along the Mall. Before you reach Buckingham Palace you reach Green Park on your right. Walk up through Green Park, keeping right. (Threre's a narrow lane that runs up the right-hand edge of the park.
When you get to the top- cross the main road (Piccadilly)
Voila! You are at the threshold of Mayfair.
About 45 mins, at a brisk pace.

Just over 1.5 miles from Waterloo Station to Green Park Station. Should take about 30 minutes.
Jubilee Line underground, 2 stops about 5 minutes.

haha depends on how fast you walk. I got lost there...went all over the place. took me 45 minutes from Leicester square through to Carnegie and back. and a whole bunch of unnecessary turns.
