Don't even think about it! Did you even enter a competition? ......No I thought not.

Trust me this is a scam, my best friend works for trading standards and any fair competions are either free or take any kind of payment on entering the competition (buying a ticket, calling a premium rate number etc.)

I do know of studios who offer free makeovers and photoshoots but even they are a scam in the sense that they make there money through selling you the pictures at over-inflated prices..

Look at it this way why on earth would a studio need to take a deposit from you which they then return? My advice- stay well away.

I had the same thing a while ago, they said they needed deposit to secure place and would refund when I got there.

I didn't bother, why should I have to pay for a prize that I had won?

I wouldn't pay anything and make sure you tell them you are not prepared to pay and see what they say!

Did you actually enter a competion because I didn't when they called me and most local photography centers charge about £40 quid for a shoot anyway, its the cost of the photos that they sting you with!

Depends on what you mean by a 'scam'. This particular offer is genuine in so far as they will give you a 'make-over' and take your photos. But this is not necessarily for future modelling jobs. They are more concerned to make you buy the extra prints which they will be pushing. Be sure to read the small prints, and make up your mind whether you want to have your photos taken so that you can buy them. It's basically like going to the studio to have your pics taken and the 'prize' thing is the bait.

well studio 64 is usually quite official. but you souled always ask if there are any privacy polices on the photos and if not where they would be used. i don't think there allowed to use your photos with out you singing a contract first so read fine prints and if something looks a bit odd say no

It is free and you are free to bring whomever you chose with you. I also had this leaflet and it is totally above board. What they are hoping is that you will be so in love with your new photos that you will shell out a ton of money to buy them (which most do), that is their only angle. You get the money taken off which photos you buy.

Sorry. I think you're missing the point. You WON a FREE shoot - so why ask for a money deposit?
Please don't fall for this - any reputable company would not ask for any payment. They are ripping you off - STAY CLEAR!!!

Anyone asking you to pay up front when you have won something is a con..!!!!! don't do it even if it sounds superb.. I f someone thinks you are good enough to have a photo shoot it should be free as they can use the pictures to make money for you and the company... Listen to your aunt she is telling the right thing to do..!!!!!
BTW its not free if you have to pay £44.00 even if you get a refund..!!!! why do they need £44.00 you won..!!!! dodgy

be careful, don't agree to anything that you feel uncomfortable with. take someone with you for moral support. the worst that could happen is that you lose 44 quid, but if this is what you want its not a big loss is it? just make sure you know what your doing, only post for pictures youd b happy to let your folks see.
