is it still cheaper to drive around by the m62 ,m18 ,m180 why is the toll so high? has it ever been resurfaced in its 30 odd year history due to wear and tear by traffic?I had to walk accross it (1mile +)one windy wet night (bloody scary did,nt know those wires made that noise in the wind)as the bus finished at the toll booths, to get the conecting bus at a place called barton.do the bus companys not use it because of the high toll?

I am up in Oban for a few days in a couple of weeks, and wondered if anyone had any ideas of where to go.
I want to be able to watch the Premiership Matches in a pub where I won't get hounded out for being English (my partner is of Scottish heritage). Consume some good food, a few Real Ales, some Malt Whiskey, and generally a good time for me and the family!

I am a american college student from Chicago looking to transfer to London Metropolitan University next fall for film.Its about the same as the school i looked at in the US. My friend in Italy has been offered a traineeship with a company in Canary Wharf area of London. They have just found out that accommodation is not provided by the employer, and need to start in less than 4 weeks time. They are not wealthy enough to stay in expensive places. They are willing to commute from anywhere in greater london. Thank you for any intelligent advice you may offer.
