is it still cheaper to drive around by the m62 ,m18 ,m180 why is the toll so high? has it ever been resurfaced in its 30 odd year history due to wear and tear by traffic?I had to walk accross it (1mile +)one windy wet night (bloody scary did,nt know those wires made that noise in the wind)as the bus finished at the toll booths, to get the conecting bus at a place called barton.do the bus companys not use it because of the high toll?

You've asked a question that a lot of people must be thinking.
The high toll is the reason the bus companies don't use it.
It sure doesn't look like it's been resurfaced.

Yeah but it looks cool and was the longest bridge in the world for a while, so that's all that matters really.
