I travel all around the country for work and there are a couple of cities I would live in - I do live in Northampton which used to be a nice market town about 20 years ago, but is now a mucky and badly developed shithole. The two big supprises for me were Newcastle ( lovely and clean, people very nice) and Carlisle ( same again).

I`m from rural west Wales, approx 60 miles from any city. If I had to chose, I`d like to live in the Newcastle area. The people are really friendly, their accents are great!, the shopping is awesome, there is loads to do up there, I support their football team, oh and my boyfriend lives there, that is an added bonus!!

Nottingham is a good city. Queen of the Midlands. Good bars, night life, brilliant shopping, friendly people and 4 women to every bloke. Where else will a woman come up to in a bar and buy you a drink. After that she has her hand in your jockeys!. Manchester is a dirty hole of a city. a dump, avoid at all cost.

I love Oxford, its only a small city but you get all the benefits of city life and you can easily be in the country side. Also its very safe and good looking city.

I am interested in the area near Alnwick Castle. My grandmothers bloodline is from there and I think it would be interesting to find people related or just more info on my genes.
