Is London Metropolitan University a good school?

I'm not being snobby, but it's not a highly prestigious school. It is an ex-polytechnic - polytechnics used to be colleges teaching vocational courses before they all became universities. They are not as elite or as highly regarded as regular universities. Having said that, they will give you a degree either way, and the courses might be good, I don't know.
