The England team stayed at The Breadsall Priory (not Manor!) pleasant hotel with a nice leisure centre with swimming pool and a golf course.
Alternatively, the Priest House at Castle Donington is very pleasant and you could then play golf wherever you liked.
Morley Hayes has a hotel (but it isn't a country house place) and the golf course id#s good, as is the restaurant.
Have a good stay.
