Over the past couple of years, we have travelled to USA to visit my daughter, luggage allowance for Long Haul to USA via British Airways, of two suitcases each. We take three, one each for me & my husband, and one full of gifts and requested items they cannot get hold of over that side of the pond.

There was an item about them reducing the number of suitcases - does that effect LONG HAUL ??? I have been happily filling a suitcase full of toys and gifts for the grandchildren, and dont want to disapoint them!

I'm flying to Sydney in a month (so it will be Autumn but beginning to get chilly). I've been once before but that was a long time ago.

I just need some advice on what clothes/shoes/toiletries to pack. Or if you have a good website to suggest to me, I'd be grateful.

Thanks!

I want to spend a few months exploring Canada, backpacking, busses, trains, etc. I plan on staying in hostels, doing odd jobs for extra cash, and just having fun.
Any advice? I am wondering how I should pack, how much money this might take, and where I should make sure to visit. Basically the more information, the better.
I have been doing a lot of research online, but I am looking for opinions of regular people, as opposed to travel agencies and such.
Also, I am from Washington State, US, if that's important.

Hi, I'm moving to NYC sometime late this year after I graduate college. I don't drive and do not have any funiture. I just need to move myself, my cat, and a few boxes of momentos (journals, photo albums, yearbooks, some books) and about I have about 7 really nice porcelian dolls from childhood that are still in the boxes. I really want to take all this with me. What it comes down to is about 1 or 2 big trunks worth of things, nothing huge, but I think more than I can take on an airplane (or can I?).

What do you guys recommend? Like I said, I cannot drive or I would just rent a car and take this stuff that way as it's only about as much as a trunk would hold. I don't have any family or friends who would do this for me. I thought about taking a bus or train to NYC, but I don't think they allow pets (do they?). Perhaps I could take all my stuff that way.

Thanks for any advice!

I know awhile back you couldn't have any liquids or toothpaste, etc. Have they changed that yet? I am also flying with a 3 months old so I'm curious about being able to bring formula. If anybody has a list of what is accepted, please let me know. Thanks!!

Hi, If you are looking at this, just know As a former flight attendant at a major airline now in reservations, Just know there are 2000 of us in reservations that are trying to accomodate you the best we know how. Just know that it is not only our airline but everyone else is stranded too. I am sorry if you missed your cruise in Florida or the wedding and you were the best man. I am sorry that your mother died and you cant get to her. We are in standstill mode, everyone is. Starting tomorrow, we shall be better. Just know that employees of the airlines want you out more than you do. We loose money on our profit sharing checks when you don't go.

It is Spring Break and everyone is going to Florida, Just make the best of it. Just know it cant get worse and go with the flow and enjoy the rest of your time off even if you have to pamper yourself.
It will get better!.Also just know; everything happens for a reason . Good Luck Passengers,
Your friend
A Major Airline Reservationist.
