Can I carry on a guitar with Aeromexico, rather than checked luggage?

The guitar is in a soft road case, not a hard case. The flight is from Boston to Mexico City.

normally it should weight more than12kg
and be longer than 115cm.

I would check with the airline to make sure, because the regulations are changing frequently

It has to fit under the seat or in the overhead bin. That's the problem. Is this a charter flight? If you don't get answers on the website, call them and speak to a supervisor.
