Personally, if I were to choose between the US and Europe for a cruise, I would choose Europe because the pollution is lesser with more places that are still unspoiled (although some parts of the US remain stunning). It would be great to just take your time while you visit each province and enjoy their food as well as the experiences you'd have. Just be sure you have enough spare small change (smaller currency denominations) for when you have to go to the gasoline station, or when you have to buy drinks using a vendo machine--or maybe even for tips or when you need to buy candy or little souvenirs. You would also need to remind yourself to take only pictures and leave only footprints. Also be alert (not paranoid) and be careful about your travel documents (passport, identification, driver's license). This would apply to trips anywhere in the world, I guess. = )

I'm American but live in Europe. For a driving trip I would choose the USA. Maybe because it's my home but I think driving is easier and gasoline is cheaper (of that I am certain). Regardless of the continent I would recommend a GPS (available through many car rental companies). It's a good idea to have a driving map as well--the GPS is great but not perfect.

If u have probs speaking english u prolly wud have problem driving either in Europe or US. U sure u wanna travel by car? No pun intended. But u must make sure u have a valid driving license.(Assuming ure not from the US or Europe ) Just make sure that u have an international driving license if u plan to make a road trip to US/Europe.
