They are, and when you think you can buy bottles of booze in the duty free. Sure you can't bring bottles into gigs, as they are seen as weapons. Which if smashed over the head is true. And perfume bottles are made of heavy glass too.

A woman can bring on lipstick, but not gloss....and if someone was really intent on blowing up a plane, they would have no qualms of kidnapping a baby and bringing on bottles of milk..Another thing is, these so called liquid bombs were never proven to exist and/or work

I,m with you. To live without Marmite is impossible, however any measure to stop terrorism and keep the great unwashed public safe is fine by me. I would prefer to go without Marmite and baked beans for a while, rather than the one time someone lets something go through and it's not what it says on the label............Doesn't bare thinking about, it's to awful to contemplate.

Don't blame the governments of various countries blame terrorists who think it is OK to attack the innocent.

What would you think of the airport security if a terroist managed to blow up a plane and it was found that the terrorist was able to board the plane with explosives which were sealed in a baked bean tin?

there's no such thing as a low risk flight anymore- the only way to enforce security is not to take any risks - it's not the airline's fault - if you want to blame anyone you should look towards the people who have declared war on the world

my daughter had the lil mermaid doll with the water and lights in the tail... its her fav doll.. but they were going to take it from her.. her sitting there screaming wanting it back!! THANK GOD... the head person on duty that day was a lil red headed woman.. who walked up to my daughter and gave her the doll.. and said so you like the red headed dolls do ya?? LOL

she just said on the way home put it in my luggage and it'll be ok..

i was so relieved they gave it back.. i would have been the next one put off a plane for a screaming kid!

tomo i understand your frustration I get it when i quite often hop out to Spain to my family but just think its nice to land safely at Alicante// they can have my trousers off if everyone else is doing the same if it proves to me I'm flying in a safe plane so dont kick the security staff they are doing a good job

Not very if you happen to be on the flight that the security checks just stopped a madman from bring on a bomb.

Didn't the airport give you the option to ship the goods home?

They should've -- that is what happened to us.
