I dont like all inclusive resort type places, nor do I want some spring break, party central. Any good suggestions for a town/city in Mexico that does not fall into those categories?

I'm planning a trip to Mexico in early June and have never been. I was hoping somebody could give me advice on a place to go that is somewhat adult and has good bars/restaurants, resorts, water activities (i.e. snorkeling, parasailing), and a healthy amount of girls. I'd also like to avoid any place that's considered primarily a "family resort" but I'm also not wanting to be stuck with a bunch of drunken high school kids.

My wife and i were thinking of going to mexico this summer but we were wondering if they have clean water there to take a shower.Also we were wondering should we bring our own food because we heard that mexico has bugs in their food in the restaraunts.Do they have anything to eat their but mexican food?..should we bring our own sheets and soap and stuff?

Anyone know the exact address (if transportation avaliable would be great! ) of Mexico architect Luis Barragan's most well-known works including Tlalpan Chapel, Casa Galvez, Casa Barragan, Casa Gilardi and the stables at San Cristobal. especially the last one! definitely want to visit.

My Dad is from there and I just want to learn about the people. It interests me because I have relatives from there who don't look like stereotypical Mexicans. I have relatives who are light and few others that look asian. Nobody from my family is short like a midget and has a heavy tan like the pure native people that are mostly found down south like in Oaxaca and Morelos. When me and my family go to Mexico people from there think we're from Chihuahua or Jalisco.

How are they? Are they innocent or slutty? Do they like gringos? Are Mexican girls looking for rich gringos to marry and make babies with? Or is that just a stereotype? If you spot a cute mexican girl somewhere can you approach her and ask her out of will she approach you? Do they often date gringos or do they stick to their own?
