My passports haven't came in yet and due to the fact that everyone is trying to get thier passports I'm afraid its going to take longer. You don't need a passport to get into Mexico right?

I am considering selling my home with in 5 years and moving to Mexico. I will be 50 and will probably still need to work. I am an American, I work as a nurse. I speak Spanish pretty fluently. Will I be able to get a decent job to cover expenses? how much is rent and can I buy a small home or condo there? I also have a degree in Travel and Tourism and could maybe use that degree to obtain a job, any suggestions? How much $ will I need initially, and how do I start? Any suggestions of web site or info from people who have done this would be appreciated. Gracias!

What occupation do Mexicans mostly have in Mexico? What type of work does a woman do in Mexico to support her family? What about the male or the father?

This might seem like a backwards question....But I want to know how much liqour I can bring INTO Mexico. Basically, we are going down to Puerto Penasco for a Bachelor Party/Spring Break which also coincides with St. Patti's day. So I need a couple of cases of guiness, about 14 bottles of wine and a couple of bottles of vodka. Other liqour will be bought there. The thing is, only four people will be crossing at a time, and logistically all liqour needs to go with one group. So my question is.....How much can I bring in? And if I am over the limit, am I ok to just declare and pay duty? Thanks
