Or is Italy like the U.S.? The further North you go, the more uptight the people...?

I am backpacking through Italy next week. At the moment, I cant really decide between these two coastal destinations: Amalfi Coast or Cinque Terre. I will definitely go to one of them only due to time and money limitation. I am very into swimming at the beach and coastal scenery. Which destination is better for swimming and sightseeing as well. Which particular towns are not to be missed from each destination? Is Capri island really that worth it to go? Thanks a bunch.

I mean, like in America people tend to love the "tall, dark, and handsome/beautiful" type of person because its exotic like. However, most in Italy are tall dark and handsome/beautiful. So, what are Italians preference in men/women.

lol, I have a feeling I'm going to get answers that say "don't generalize" or "its not what is on the outside, but the inside"...or something to that nature.

Thomas: This goes back to the absconding problem. A person who is here illegally is a significant flight risk. The problem is two-fold. First, there are illegal immigrants who, once they make bail, promptly slip back across the border. Second, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) routinely deports people charged with serious crimes in Arizona before these defendants can be brought to trial. Of course, few of them bother to return to the United States to face the music. We’ve had very serious criminals—murderers, child molesters, drug dealers, violent criminals—take advantage of both escape hatches.

The change to the Arizona Constitution that I’m supporting, and that will go before the voters in November 2006, would amend our state constitution to deny bail to illegal immigrants accused of committing serious felonies. This reform would be the first of its kind in the nation. It’s long overdue.

Not in terms of clothes sizes, because those are not all the same. But I've heard that what Americans consider average is considered fat in Italy.

So, for example.....would you think a girl thats 5'11", of medium bone structure, and weight 140 is fat? Thanks for the answers!

the old gent downstairs uses a commode to,i believe. avoid disturbing other people in the house at night and i think that this is a sign of respect for others typical of irishmen of that era but the others in hte house are squeamish about it;dont you think they should grow and not be so 'pissy' about it?
