I found the name on a baby name site, and have decided to name my daughter this, but I'm not 100% sure how it is pronounced in Italian. I don't know if it is CARE-a or CAR-a, or some other pronounciation I haven't thought of yet. Help me out, please and thank you!

no one is helping me here...the consulate/embassy tell me to "look on the website" but it's a disaster with no logical explanation. i have found a number of different suggestions as to what types of visas i might need (residency, work, etc) but nowhere does it say HOW to get these things. I was also told the italian company (im going to teach english) has to supply me with certain forms. does anyone have the correct answer? thanks.

Hey! I'm studying in Florence right now. I've gone to Cinque Terre, Ravenna, Siena and Pisa (and all through Florence)-- any other recommendations? I'm huge on the classics, religion, history and anything picturesque.

This bird looks like a crow - but has a silver back and neck - it's approximately the same size as a crow with the same sort of beak, but rather that black all over it has this silver patch on it's back?

My boyfriend and I live in Parma, and we've got the weekend relatively free... are there any Bierfests or Sagre or Concerts or great museum exhibits... I dont know, cute picnic sites... (Let's say in the Emilia Romagna region, or not more than 2 hours drive) Basically, any fun ideas?

I am travelling to Venice later this week for a long weekend. I have been investigating how to get from the airport to the hotel. A big confusion has arisen.

Am I completely wrong here? The standard waterbus Vaporetto appears to be the cheapest way to go and also the fastest. Hotel is by the Vallaresso stop. It appears to be 5 Euro and 30 minutes.

The more expensive option is the Alilaguna which costs 10 Euros but seems to be a 1 hour 15 minute trip.

Advice or clarification appreciated.
