Of course, your favorite experience will be based on your personality (as my favorite experiences are based on my personality).

For drinking purposes, the Lion's Fountain is an amazing bar to drink and socialize. Monday's they accept USD and have drink specials. They have free wireless internet and a safe setting.

For party purposes, Andromeda and Central Park are amazing club experiences. Central Park is massive, hot, sweaty and raunchy. Andromeda on the other hand plays a lot of rap/hip-hop music, is underground and has a more intimate feel.

My favorite historical experiences would include climbing the San Minato (oh, the view!) and watching the city of Florence. The Piazza Signoria and Piazza della Repubblica have some amazing art/statues there. There are countless museums but my favorite will have to be Dante's House. *shrugs* I loved the Inferno.

For relaxation purposes, walking along the Arno is amazingly calm! The Bolboli Gardens are astronishing and surreal.

I could go into food and shopping-- but Florence speaks for itself of those topics.

This city is charming!

We were in Florence for the 2006 World Cup Soccer Final. We went to a public square, Piazza di Santo Spirito, drank beer, watched the game on a big screen TV, and whooped it up! after the Italian victory. The crowd was mostly locals in their 20's and 30's. The Italian win sealed the deal, Florence was hoppin' all night celebrating. We were lucky to be there. It was an unforgettable, a fun time.

Florence is my most favourite place in the world. I adore the Uffizi and the Piazza della Signora with the loggia and sculptures. I find that talkig to the native FLorentines is very interesting and they're lovely people. What I love to do after a day of art appreciation is to sit in a little cafe in the Piazza della Signora, looking up at the Palazzo Vecchia and watch as the sun sets and at dusk see the bats fly around the campanile.

one of the best experiences i have ever had was climbing all 400 something stairs to the top of the duomo. we were totally not expecting to go all the way to the top, so it was that much better. the view of florence from the top was breathtaking and worth it. another beautiful moment was in the boboli gardens. the afternoon we spent there was so relaxing and felt like we were in another world. i also loved strolling the outdoor markets, looking and purchasing all the beautiful goods! florence was my favorite place in italy and i hope to one day return!

I lived in Florence for 4 years. My favouriteexperience was walking up to the church of San Miniato, one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. Apart from the church itself, the view is breathtaking. The monumental cemetery behind it is very peaceful. Definitively a great place for introspection.

I lived in Florence in college. The best part was the dinner parties me and my roommates used to have. Great food and endless bottles of wine that we shared with friends.
