A week is a good amount of time to visit. You can do the highlights and have a really good time. Some great places to see: Vatican/St Peters, Roman Forum, Colosseum...Tivoli is not far from Rome. You can spend a day there. I could go on and on...:)

Well, Rome is beautiful and I think you should enjoy it! But take care, some places are very expensive.... And in the bars, you will pay much more if you sit while drinking (up to 4 times more expensive than if you just stand)...

I think it's just right. Rome is a huge city with so much to see. You could spend months there. But I think if you have a short amount of time to travel, it is best to stay in one city and get to know it better. I've been there several times. It's one of the great treasures of the world. Have fun!
