the corwds are always pretty large however February isn't a bad time - it's not the height of tourist season - but check the school calendars. check with your hotel - they can usually inform you of their historical occupancy during the time period in which you're staying. as long as it's not in the 80's you should be fine (epending on your llocation). be advised - it's a little cold and the weather can shift so be readdy to layer! also wind whips pretty good in the open area. i found an oversized scarf was nost practical - could layer around the body and cover the head at the same time and could wear just it while touring and it wasn't as cold : )
have a wonderful time!

There are always lots of crowds in Rome but February is a great time to go as the weather's cooler and you can walk around without being uncomfortable.

Rome's climate is at its most comfortable from April through June or early July. By August, the temperature during the heat of the day often exceeds 35 degrees Celsius, 95 degrees Fahrenheit. Many businesses close during August, and Romans traditionally abandon the city for cooler climes. The average high temperature in December is about 13 degrees Celsius, 55 Fahrenheit, according to the British Broadcasting Corp.'s Weather Centre site.

The weather will probably be cool, the crowds manageable.

Rome Hotelbye nowadays is one of the most important tourist locations of the world, due to the incalculable immensity of their archaeological and artwork items, along with for the appeal of its special traditions, the wonder of its panoramic opinions, and the majesty of their great parks. One of many things should see en Rome is Campo de'Fiori. Campo de'Fiori is a rectangular square south of Piazza Navona applied as a marketplace through the day, and celebration main for college students and tourists at night. The name means “subject of flowers” and was first given through the Middle Ages when the area was actually a meadow. Yet another place worth visit is The Roman Forum. A lot of Europe has a temperate climate meaning more than likely at that time of year it will rain and possibly snow. The advantage of going at that time of year is that the cost of an airplane ticket will be significantly less than the hotter months. Even then you are not guarranteed that it won't rain! Go! There's still so much to see and do regardless of the weather. The people there live with it and still find time to have fun...take an umbrella!

I have found that Rome is crowded no matter what time of the year you are there anymore. The weather is cool in February--not brutally cold and definitely not hot at that time.

Wet and cool, like most Med cities. I prefer early to mid May, before schools let out because the weather is generally warmer and dryer, but the crowds have not yet come due to kids still in school.

Summers are hot and dry. Long lines prevail (hours to get into the Vatican, for example).

In general late spring or early fall, before and after school is out and in session, are the best times to visit Rome I think.
