I read the information, but I'm not sure about that.

Apparently Turkish airfighters also succeeded in annihilating the transmission base of PKK, that was broadcasting the RojTV propaganda programs?

Is it true?

I hope so...

It seems that many countries don't take it seriously, and that's why french authorities apparently don't do anything about PKK supporters who live in Paris and France.

By the way, check this question of mine, and the answers, and please can you also send a mail to the Turkish Consulate in Paris?

Dear Belgian fellows:
I know Belgium has three official languages - Dutch, French and German.

1. In Belgium, if a Dutch speaker(Flemish) and French speaker(Walloon) meet in the street, which language would they communicate in?
Would it be Dutch, French or English?

2. From what I've heard, Flemish(Dutch speakers) speak both English and French quite well while Walloons(French speakers) only speak French.
Is that true? If so, why is that?
Are Walloons not smart or diligent enough to learn a foreign language?

3. If you are a Dutch speaker(Flemish) in Belgium, which foreign language is more popular and more important to learn at school?
English or French??

4. If you are a French speaker(Walloon) in Belgium, which foreign language is more popular and more important to learn at school?
English or Dutch??

I'll be waiting for Belgians' answers.

Im 15, and plan on going over to Europe for my summer before college. Nothing of course is set in stone but i was wondering what are some good smaller cities or towns to look into for living. Also if you have any estimate of how much it would cost to live for about 3 months. So far i have $2000 (1389 euros if google is correct) saved up for this trip.

Thanks

Does anyone have any experience using the swiss franc in other coutries besides Switzerland and France? I was wondering if anyone knows whether it is acceptable currency on the streets of Italy, or do you have to go to a bank to get it exchanged? I know they aren't worth much, but I have almost 10 "dollars" worth of swiss francs that i need to get rid of and i'm going to italy and only have about 5 euros in my posession. thanks.

particularly music.
Both my parents are from Greece, so you can imagine how Greek it gets at home- especially around Christmas and Easter. I LOVE Greek music, and since I don't live in a major city, I can never find any store that sells it. When I go online, they only offer the older stuff. I like that too, but I want the new stuff (Paparizou's "to fili tis zwhs", Marianda Pieridi, Mixalis Hatsigiannis, Kokkinou, Vandi... and I'm not talking about albums from 10 years ago) I can listen to some of it on youtube, but I want it for my car. Where do you go for Greek music? Efcharisto poli... ehw megali agape gia musiki!!

What do you think?

My position is that ezan can be a nice thing from a good müezzin, but loud speakers ruin the experience. I also like the bells I hear from the neighborhood church and wouldn't want it to stop. But East Oxford isn't Istanbul and I want your opinions.

We are planning for a tour around Europe during end March / early April 2008. We are planning to visit Germany, France, UK and if possible to Netherlands. This is a prelim plan only.

Cool. My questions:
What visa can help me to enter all these places? Do we separate visas for each country? What if we wish to have multiple entry to some country?
Is it possible to drive between countries? How does the Rent a car feasible to drive? Or is there a road / rail transport available to move between countries? Please guide me with some websites if possible.
To drive in the UK, do we need any special Licence? It's right hand drive there.

Thanks in advance. Your answers will help us a lot in planning for the trip.

I will be traveling to london and dublin in feb and want to know if I should:

1. Convert my money before I leave (and if so, at a bank or retail establishment?)
2. Convert it overseas (at a bank, airport, or where is the cheapest?)
3. Bring travellers checks in us dollars and break them as I spend them (can you even do that?)
4. Try to put as much as I can on a credit card (is there no conversion fee usually?)

Thanks!!

I am doing a whirlwind tour with a friend. We fly into London for the weekend, thinking about taking the Eurostar to Paris, spend four days in Paris and then I have to head to Vienna...where I will meet up with another friend, but also fly home. Any suggestions of things to do or places to see on the way? Renting vs rail? Thanks
