To be honest, Den Haag is a quite boring city. But still there are some places worth seeing. Like any other cities in The Netherlands, they are all centered in the 'city' or in dutch : CENTRUM. So, start from centrum, you can take a look at the shops, 'mini shopping mall and famous : Bijenkorf', have a cup of coffee in a famous and 'classy' shopping area Het Passage, and dont forget to visit Noordeinde, where you can see the Queen's Palace and also some expensive shops.

Scheveningen beach is quite nice. But in the winter it is boring. If you like gambling, you can go to Holland's casino there in scheveningen.

I think it is worth going to see Scheveningen, even in winter, as our beach is different from most in that it is a very long one, all sand.

Also in Scheveningen, Panorama Mesdag:

If you like art, there are several museums worth visiting in Den Haag, there are also a few museums that are not art related.

Shopping in Den Haag is pretty good, but widespread. Ask people in your hotel, or in a shop or tourist information office (VVV) to help you find the shops you are looking for.

And if you want to see a different town, trains enough, Leiden is worth visiting, an old Dutch town with a modern student influence. Rotterdam is a town that is much more modern in its build.
And if the weather is nice, the dunes. Or the parks in town, there is one with a Japanese garden:

The garden has limited opening times, in 2007 it was 28 April / 10 June. So if you are near this period, check out the dates for this year.

not at this time of the year, it's kinda boring in winter time, shops be closed and the beachhouses/restaurants are not there.

you best off just wondering around down town, shop and see old buildings, see parlement, museas , hop on a train and go to Rotterdam, not far from den haag, lots more to see there

enjoy your time
