I just went to my bathroom, whose wall is facing outside, and especially west, where the sun was all afternoon. Frankly, the wall was emitting warmth, I can't describe how hot it was. The shampoo etc. where all warm, like the soup we eat in winter or sth. Is this luxury or what?
Too bad tomorrow the... spa will stop!

I'm watching the news the last days and I feel really sad.All those fires all over Greece, all those animals killed, all those forests destroyed. Can we do something?Shouldn't we the citizens demand from the goverment to have the forests reforestated? Can't we all work together and try and do something? How can anybody organise this?Via email?Via press?Any ideas?

My husband is Greek, and although he can speak English well enough, he cant read it that great.
The bad thing is he thinks he is a pediatrician. He thinks he knows all there is to know about babies and if the baby keeps crying.. that I must being doing something wrong.
Especially when it comes to producing milk. He thinks its because i dont have a balanced diet and keeps fighting with me about it everyday and shoving foods down my mouth (not literally, but almost) that are healthy but I hate and almost make me sick.
Are there any websites about babies....especially about breastfeeding.... in the Greek language??

What I really would love is some official site to say in big black letters that the mothers body will make milk regardless of her diet and sometimes a woman just does not have enough.... and.... that it is not as easy as it looks!!!!!!!!!!!

help! thanks.

For example, "Messiah" in hebrew is translated to "Messias" in Greek. Is this a common trend?

There have been so many debates between Greece and Turkey on this topic. Please, only serious and objective answers will be accepted from both parts..
Answers based on fanatism by both sides are not accepted..
This is a topic, we are discussing so much in Greece, and i want your opinion, the opinion of the simple citizens of both countries without any religious purpose, just what you are thinking of it, and how it should be handled...

Is it possible to see most of the island during the same travel ? By plane ? Or on a cruise ship ?
What are the best places to go to ? Cretia? Cyprus? Rhodos ? Mykonos ? Others ?...

Thanks

Yesterday, there was a problem again, and sometimes i really wonder if we have to be here a touristic section in order to avoid conflicts..
I want to apologise if i hurt some people, i dint have this intention.People who know me know also very well that i never take the part of anyone.
I didnt take the part of any user, believe me i know all so less..
I just try to clear, that here nobody approves the insults, and i have underlined it yesterday..Nobody wants to offend..
The problem is that i have been misunderstood, because i said that we can not eliminate any user because he has a preference to a nation. As we can not forbid to anyone to enter our section for good or bad..
I am not double faced, i know maybe you ll report my question, but i really want to keep a balance, and if i hurt people(that i always try to respect, and especially those who are against Greece)i apologise..
But i swear, the comment was innocent,we have to be kind and to recommend the same to everyone..

I've read that Greeks may sometimes indicate anger by smiling broadly, showing their teeth. Is their any truth in this? Or does this happen in any other county?

I'd seen it 3 times in 5 days, and it really made me laugh.

You take a cab, you tell the destination. Cab moves and whoops! somebody else on the way jumps in. I was really surprised with that? Does this work like that in Athens?

Hi, I will be travelling to Athens & island hopping on the beautiful Greek Islands.

Just wondering if the hotels provide kettle to boil our own drinking water or can we drink directly from the tap?

Also I would like to know how much does a bottle of drinking water, a can of coke, a bottle of beer cost there?

Many thanks to those who answer:D

I have some notes - not sure if they are Greek or Cypriot. The writing is definitely in Greek. One is a 500 note and the other 100 note. I am going to Cyprus soon and wonder if I can use them. The writing on the top of the notes lookes something like: TPANEZA THE ENNAOEM EKATON
