To echo and confirm some of Leonarda's thoughts.... I stay away from this section after I've recognized that not everybody is welcome... I've heard so many hostile arguments, false and true ones...
It is silly and naive to expect that you can do anything about the selection of users who enter a section: it's a web of a free world... and anyway - there are so many trolls that you'd still be having unresolved issues... Tourist agents of any country have their own sites and forums, I think to solicit that kind of activity would also be in breach of community guidelines as this is not a commercial site.
The bad thing is, I've travelled widely in Greece and it was a part of my education as well as upbringing, down to everyday life in which I use Greek spice in cooking; I have tons of friends who are one way or the other connected with Greece, Greeks included. And even if this would give me legitimate (and logical) ground to follow the basic guides of Y!A which advise you to choose a field you're familiar with, I stay away from it. I'd rather contribute to categories where I'm not subjected to primitive and vulgar comments. It's a shame because Greece should lead the democratic idea in any field of human activity, Y!A included.

it particularly isn't any longer an twist of destiny that selection of thought is interior the Greek DNA. the honour and the disaster of the race. This certainly is a commute section which apparently some people have used as a talk board to vent their prejudices and to impose questions rhetorically whose solutions they already comprehend. That deviates from the point and purpose of the region. i do no longer understand while or the way it began as i'm an casual centred visitor right here. perchance the main suitable protection for it would be to forget approximately approximately inflammatory, non pertinent questions altogether.

It is not called "Greek Tourist Section", therefore it should embrace all opinion concerning Greek matters. As for offending people from other countries, I always say that each shows his/her own personality and culture. We should not take anything "personal". The way one expresses himself, describes her/him alone.

I swear i dont have any problem about the users who enter in the greek section, everyone can use it..
The problem is and i can not understand it, why some users from neighbour countries are caring so much about us, if it is not travel..
Once,i received in italian an email from an albanian. He was really very kind to me to say the truth..He said, i saw you are greek, could you express an opinion about my country in a question?
I denied..Not because i wanted to say something bad, you know that i never insult, but i cant understand why i have to interfere in a country when it doesnt concern an information..Touristic one...
Everyone as i said is free to use the section he wants..But i dont understand why to interfere in the topics of a country..Especially when the opinions are different..
I never use the section Continental Europe...There are some neighbour countries with whom we have differences..To create a conflict?Never..Then, i havent seen many places of Continental Europe, so i cant givea valid information, if i am wrong, i dont want to create bad impressions, dont you think?
I also use the turkish section for an information, about places i have seen..But never interfering in the topics of Turkey or differences they have with others..
Thats why i say...Why some people are caring so much about us?
Goxy we are talking about people who dont like us...Nort about friends

If everybody would follow the sequence 'Travel' - 'Europe (Continental) - 'Greece', we would come to that result.. I hope with you, we will ever reach that point.
Political opinions are better discussed in other forums.
