Yesterday, there was a problem again, and sometimes i really wonder if we have to be here a touristic section in order to avoid conflicts..
I want to apologise if i hurt some people, i dint have this intention.People who know me know also very well that i never take the part of anyone.
I didnt take the part of any user, believe me i know all so less..
I just try to clear, that here nobody approves the insults, and i have underlined it yesterday..Nobody wants to offend..
The problem is that i have been misunderstood, because i said that we can not eliminate any user because he has a preference to a nation. As we can not forbid to anyone to enter our section for good or bad..
I am not double faced, i know maybe you ll report my question, but i really want to keep a balance, and if i hurt people(that i always try to respect, and especially those who are against Greece)i apologise..
But i swear, the comment was innocent,we have to be kind and to recommend the same to everyone..

Jusr want to say, that all countries we have to avoid conflicts, here is a forum. There are people who exagerate, yes,but nobody has the right to forbid them in every section to participate. This doesnt mean we approve their way of speaking..
Many times i have suggested top new users to be kind..
Once again, those who misunderstood, dont juge bad,i really didnt support anyone, just try to say that everyone is free to use every section with respect..

Excuse me, have you read my answer well?Havent i mentioned that nobody has the right to insult? We so much attack?
Dellarovere, you havent read well what i wrote..I said that he has no right to insult, but we can not eliminate anyone because it happened to be friend with some armenians, as we do not ask this from the turkish sections where some users have in their contacts People of FYROM..I said it is not a reason to eliminate someone because he is friend of armenians, the same also in the turkish section, who is against Greece, they can not closed him the door...
Where is the big problem, and whom did i offend...

Just two phrases:
1) Our family has suffered severe losses by fascism and nazism. Diplomacy and "equal distances" with persons who decorate their profile with nazi symbols is beyond my personal ethics.
2) Just beyond my ethics is also any tollerance to offensive behaviour against members of my family, for any reason whatsoever...

Based on what you wrote ,there is nothing for you to clear up at least from her point of view.Though you say you would like a romantic relationship with her and while it is possible that she may like you without having said anything ,at the present time you are both just platonic albeit close friends. This explains her behavior though I suspect that she was not only hurt by what she saw but hugely disappointed as well. I think your only option at this point is to do two things; 1) Figure out what type of relationship you truly want with her. I know what you said at the outset. In addition come up with a good explanation and the true story behind how you came to have sex with that mutual friend. 2) Contact her using whatever method you like (out of the office surroundings) preferably face-to-face and have an open, complete.honest ,and total conversation with her. In this talk own up to your mistake,do not minimize or try to justify your conduct but simply explain it. Then tell her about your feelings for her and what fears you had initially in telling her and then see what she says or how she responds. Remember that it is her choice and she may have a hard time believing you in light of what has just transpired. However, since you guys share such a close relationship and assuming you are convincing and honest when you talk, you might be able to still make a positive headway.

Dear Maria,
Here several times I mentioned that my aunt is Greek. I love her and her family. I have Greek friends from Greece and Cyprus and just yesterday my Cypriot friend brought me "Helva" with a big smile thinking that i will be happy to eat that.
I have half Greek half Turkish friend (that means my uncle is not the only one). We talk sometimes we have different opinions but we try to understand eachother. And most of us are aware that politicians and let's say " bigger powers" are ruining us.
I am just very sad because i think there are two very important nations who have a lot of things in common from food to dance. I listen to your songs and i can't understand a word but i get the feeling because even our gestures are alike. I never forgot what Greece has done in 1999. There was another Turkish friend who mentioned it here in Y!A, also. Because i only see the beauty. I don't keep bad memories in my mind because this brings only hatered.
We are neighbors. Some like this some don't. If we don't try to understand eachother and make a rooster fight all the days what are we going to gain?
If fighting in Y!A helps let's fight for illnesses, poor countries, something really useful. I prefer fighting against animal killers if shouting at Yahoo helps i prefer fighting with the stupid people who make fire in the forests.
I am really sad about the useless comments that will bring us nowhere.

My humble opinion on this matter is that the fanatical greeks are better accepted by greeks than the fanatical turks are accepted by the turks. We turks actually report each other for being racist and I was personally reported by Ipek quite a few times because of some racist comments against armenians. There is some sort of solidarity among the greeks when it comes to that.
I find that interesting because although spartan may be a product of what he lived through (and I respect that), his ideas are not quite rational (you know, wiping out an entire nation because of things done by previous governments) because when it comes down to brute force, the turkish army, navy and air force stands a much better chance in doing that. We must use brute force against true enemies of civilizations, when the opportunities arise, not against each other. We must identify the true enemies, the puppet masters that want us both dead.
So why not go with the rational alternative of appreciating each others cultures and coexist in a respectful manner than plotting genocide plans?

don't worry dear we all know how nice and understanding
you are,i'm treated in real life like a traitor because i don't
hate Turks being myself an Armenian.
the reason for most of the problems in the world is national
racism, leading to religious racism, leading to terrorism.
we try to fight it by advocating peace and love among all
people,at our humble level, hoping the word will spread......

dear maria,
Y!A is a free forum that we all can participate
that's what i was talking about in my 2 previous messages to greece section
the part that i took is quite obvious. i don't prefer to block people but if i see a racist comment, i prefer not to answer it.
i would never ever support spartan in my entire life
I'm also hurt by some of the greek users comments
it wasn't yours; you only stated that he has the right to say his ideas, i agree
but you could just say that he shouldn't behave in this way and he has to be respectful to us. he doesn't have to like us but he cannot insult us. a user even said "filia to spartan! "
he can write, he can support his country, i don't mind neither i care. but this is just too much
i didn't know what he had said about us before
but i just saw the expression "taking bath in Turkish blood"
aww... that's horrible
how naive i was to tell him that i seriously wish we could be friends
if he had me in his hands ready, he would just cut my head off probably
i just want to tell that I'm very hurt and insulted

Maria Dear,
There are sometimes a person has to take sides and this is actually one of them for you.- In my opinion of course-
There are some people who understands and appreciates peaceful approaches but this guy stated that he wants to bath in Turkish blood so I don't believe he is a good candidate for it.
Even today he said he will be happy if Turkey divides but he doesn't want all of us dead- because Europe needed the pimps and drug dealers- excuse me but those are his words , not mine-. Then he backed up and erased the last sentence. Not before we all saw it though.
No need to mention the objectionable words full with hatred and insult both to Turks and to Greeks that doesn't agree with his opinions.
This is not patriotism. This is nationalist racism.
If a Turkish guy did the same thing- just like Selin did to you- we would make sure he or she understands that he or she is not wanted anymore which I actually did with bold words. Most of the Turkish users mass blocked her.
In my heart, I would expect you to do the same...
Internet can become quite dangerous if there is no auto control amongst the users.
Don't take it just personally or don't ever think that we think you are two faced or something but I personally would be happier to see more support from our Greek friends.
Love from Turkey ...

It is true, very often in the section I see extreme ideas expressed. Most of the times it is not what one says, but how one says it. People should be decent and rational. There is no use to offend nationalities and people. Each one loves his country in one's way and cannot be removed from the site because of that. Only if when expressing his views is extreme, insulting, abusive than all the rest should not respond.
I really do not see why we can open a kind of "war" in this section. This is politicians' job!! We people should try to build cooperation, understanding of the people. We should build bridges to come closer and not burn them. If this thing is going worse, than too soon these categories will shrink as common sense people will leave for other, "harmless" categories. Let us all protect this section.

Hey, Leo. you shouldn't be apologizing for anything. i read your answer in the question everyone is talking about and there's nothing to apologies about. just for saying your opinion you are criticized by people who may not have the intelligence to realize that it is just an opinion/comment, which had a lot of truths. i don't see why you should be apologizing.i should know. i am one of these people who when they think something i say it. no diplomacy, no BS, just say what's right. don't let people get you down or upset. this isn't the real way anyway and you shouldn't let other peoples words hurt you. take it easy

To all "tolerant and civil wannabes" of extremism and hatred:
It is sad that you are tolerant to racial superiority doctrines, ethnic persecutions, imperialist expansions and genocides. Which makes me wonder: to what else are you tolerant to?
Some words often become visions and some visions often become actions. Unfortunately with devastating consequences for the human kind.
Its a shame really... But more and above all its your ignorance of 20th century history all across Europe that puzzles me the most.
To Young Turk: You may be right but let's not confuse Greeks with a bunch of illiterate morons that circulate on this site.
