I've read that Greeks may sometimes indicate anger by smiling broadly, showing their teeth. Is their any truth in this? Or does this happen in any other county?

Sometimes we do it, but it' s indicating more something like irony and not anger.
I can't understand you people. The man probably is asking about the quick mouth opening, showing our teeth, that we do occasionally for irony.
But I have to make it clear. It is not a smile. It's more of a quick movement of the mouth and in the past few years tends to extinguish!
P.S. Do I live in another country?

Well, as Tolia said, normally when people is angry starts yelling and swearing.
Greeks smile when they are happy and swear and yell when their are angry. They are normal people, you know. lol
So, I would say it's not true. Plus, I've met Greeks with really nice smiles and those don't seem to come from anger.

Best wishes!

So stay away from seemingly happy Greeks and talk only to those that look very angry by international standards. There you are. Problem solved.

The only one I know in Greece showing teeth when angry is my pitbul....

Edit: Ipek, you didn't say exactly that. You called me Count Dracula because you could see only my teeth in the dark...
