My husband is Greek, and although he can speak English well enough, he cant read it that great.
The bad thing is he thinks he is a pediatrician. He thinks he knows all there is to know about babies and if the baby keeps crying.. that I must being doing something wrong.
Especially when it comes to producing milk. He thinks its because i dont have a balanced diet and keeps fighting with me about it everyday and shoving foods down my mouth (not literally, but almost) that are healthy but I hate and almost make me sick.
Are there any websites about babies....especially about breastfeeding.... in the Greek language??

What I really would love is some official site to say in big black letters that the mothers body will make milk regardless of her diet and sometimes a woman just does not have enough.... and.... that it is not as easy as it looks!!!!!!!!!!!

help! thanks.

I mean he has no medical training whatsoever but he keeps saying stupid things like "baby's only cry if they are hungry or if they are in pain" or that im not doing this right or that right and basically "what the hell is wrong with you" (meaning me)

I don't knwo any sites, but in my opinion what you should do is make clear to your husband that what you eat and what milk you produce is your own business. Don't let him be in charge of your motherhood. Instead of trying to convince him, explain that he is not the boss who needs to be convinced. You are the boss of yourself. Also don't let your mother-in-law be in charge, Greek mother-in-laws can be dreadful. Don't fight or argue over these matters, just do as your doctor telles you and explain to your husband that you follow the doctor's instructions. When you say youer husband thinks he is a peadiatrician, what do you mean? Has he studied medicine or not? either way, I am sure you have your own doctor and follow his instructions. It is true however that what you eat reflects in the milk: my friends baby had diarrhea every time she ate a lot of veg!

He is so unfair. You need to hook him up with a real pediatrician to explain to him what science says and not what kura Katina from the neighborhood was talking about.
