Much has been said about Greece or Spain with respect to the violent behavior of certain British youngsters visiting Greece or Spain. It is interesting that recently, hundreds from the town of Malia in Crete have taken to the streets to protest against the lewd and violent behavior of young British tourists, closing off the island's main highway, disrupting traffic and handing out leaflets saying they were fed up.

What's your experience? Who is to blame and is there any way out of this mess?

I purcahsed a rail saverpass on the website and got them mailed to me. However, everytime, I contact them, they never answer the phone or return my messages.

Has anyone had bad luck with them in the past?

May move to Istanbul, but I wonder if a measly 1000 -1500 USD/month will make it? I don't know the city, so of course the costs are gonna be more from the beginning. Any advice? really appreciated! Thanks!

Me & my girlfriend are going there as a late deal in September 2007. I have heard reviews on websites saying that there was broken glass on the floor, the bathroom was dirty and people shouting down the corridors at 1am! Plus I have been told that the bar is a 'free bar' on the Friday and Saturday night from 6pm to midnight. Is this true at all?

My boyfriend and have both lived in Spain, but have never made it to Portugal. We have decided to take a bus to Portugal and at this point that is it. We like to party, especially when it involves clubs with good dance/house music or a swanky bar with some cool lounge music. Although we like to party we also want to see some sights and relax as well in an area with beautiful scenery, possibly a beach. Any suggestions on what to do when you only have a week.

the Greek section saying it is being used for "tourist information"....perhaps I too have been guilty of this in asking about air fare to an island from Athens. Am sorry, did not understand that was not liked. But who better in a section to help ones than ones from that section though? I know most of traveling there after 8 trips, but was wondering about the fares but will find that out next year when am back in Athens.
Thank you though for the previous helps given.

I will be starting from England. Also, I am under 27 so I get the lower rate. I wish to spend 1 or 2 days at each stop.

A couple of mandatory stops are Paris and Rome. Thanks very much!

What are the steps I would need to take in order to be able to live and work in Europe for an extended amount of time? (more than 6 months). I understand that each country has different regulations, but I would just like to know the basics on how to get started with my move!

I'll be in Bodrum for three days in early September. Right now, I'm staying in Turgutreis, but I've been reading up on it, and am worried that it's just a sleepy fishing town. I thought about Turkbuku, but I was a little concerned about safety (I'm Asian and heard some things about discrimination).

I've chosen either Turgutreis, Bitez or Turkbuku based on where I can get really good hotel deals. Anyone have any thoughts on these towns in terms of things to do; ease of transportation to other places on the Bodrum peninsula and nightlife?

Hey guys

I'm headed to Europe in November, starting in Germany and hoping to hit Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Ireland and the UK, Poland and possibly Scandanavia (scanrail).

I'm having trouble wrapping my mind around the Eurail pass system. I'm under 26 so I qualify for the youth pass, and I'll be there for at least 4 weeks, hopefully up to 6. I feel like the Global is too many (18 countries) so maybe I should just go with the Select and just eat the cost of a ticket to go into Poland one day?...

Anyway, does anyone have any experience with the system and how it works? Any suggestion as to what arrangement worked for you?

Thanks!!

Renny
