Did you look carefully to the map of Europe on the Euro? Try to find Türkiye, I mean the half of Türkiye!!! Is it a chance event? Or a message to Türks?

What is Turkish public opinion on joing the EU???




I am not asking about the rights and wrongs of Turkey being admited into the EU..Personally I think Turkey should be admitted to the EU and think it would be a big lose if they don't join..


But I have heard despite the Turkish government wanting to join the EU. Most ordinary Turks are now against entry when a few years ago most wanted to join it..

Why the change of opinion? Is it because of the chavanistic attitude of some EU countries..Or the length that Turkey has had to wait to join..

Wouldn't the freedom of movement and boom in trade (from membership) be a good thing for Turkey?

and once in the square is it possible to exit around the edges of it to visit any streets in the surroundings or is it necessary to return along the entrance? Also does anyone know what time on Christmas Day the yearly message is given and approx how many people are usually there? Is there still the same access to the square?
