Before going there I read somewhere that the best of Prague are its churches and synagoges, and it´s true.
The Jewish Quarter: near the Jewish Town Hall you´ll find find some synagoges. There´s the Staronova Synagoge (the oldest in Europe, from 1210. visit the Maisel synagoge and the Old-New synagoge. In the quarter you must visit an old cementery which is really interesting; you can see its level is much higher than the street in the outside; it was the only place where the Jews of the city ould be buried and there are several "layers" making the cementery higher than the street level (there´s a wall).
The castle:in the inside you must visit the Cathedral, the Royal Palace, Saint George Basilica and the "gold alley (or street) where the craftspeople had their working places; really nice.
Loreta: there´s a legend that says the angels took the house where virgin Mary lived to Loreto in Italy so as to keep it from dangers. In the XVII mnay similar "houses" were built all around Europe. One of them is in this place in Prague; you can´t take photos inside, but I must say it´s impressive.
The Old Town Square: visit Saint Nicholas Church, the Town Hall (go up to the top, beautiful views of the city and surroundings). Also, Týn Church, with its beautiful pinacles. The astronomical clock from the XV century (be careful with pickpockets!)
Wenceslas square: the Square itself and the National museum.,
The Vltava river is crossed by several bridges. All of them are beautiful; the most famous one is Charles Bridge; go there early in the morning or you´ll find it crowded. Nearby, it´s Kampa island: beautiful for a relaxing walk. Ay one end of one of the bridges there´s a house, in the modern part of the city which is called "the dancing building" because its architecture makes you believe it IS moving!!
We found a place called the Vessely Bison (something like that) which was incredibly cheap and the quality and amount of dishes they served was really nice.
I could go on for hours but you´ll better go and check the beauty of this city by yourself!! Lucky you!!
Here you can check some information in English:

Lots of English there but a must see city! If you make it you should definitely check out Charles Bridge. The statues are amazing. The architecture all around the city is astonishing. I'm not sure if you're the clubbing type or not but if you are there are some pretty decent clubs; check out Mischmasch if you get a chance. Definitely mingle with the locals. Amsterdam is a must for everyone again with the clubs check out the Powerzone.

Hi...I've been to Prague couple of times...
it's beautiful city with a lot of historical buildings, churches, castles, bridges...
People are ok /like in the capital city - compare to any others in th e world/ - Prague is fuuuull of tourists
Food is also ok, but I don't think many tourist end up in typical Czech restaurants and want to try it...if so, try ''maso, knedlo, zeli'' - this is really typical food - it's meat, dumplings and cabbage. Pls find more info about Prague here:
http://www.prague.cz/prague-sights.asp
I would also recommend you to visit couple of other places in Czech republic. If you'll have a time, go to Terezin ...it's just couple of km away from Prague. It was concentration camp for Jewish people during 2nd ww. Also there are amazing castles in a country. Check this web site - http://www.zamky-hrady.cz/index-e.htm Enjoy your trip!:)
