I stayed in a castle, which is now a hotel, in May. This was in the Burgundy region of France and I believe we paid around 150 euros per night. There are many castles and manors which have been transformed into hotels around Europe and they are not more expensive than other hotels I have found.

i think if you talk about western europe (especially england, france or germany) it would be damn expensive.
But maybe you can get some castle in Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Poland or Ukraine for much cheaper cost, but God know what the service would be in there and whether its safe at all
