I would go by night train, its a long trip and why nopt spend it sleeping? I am not sure about the cost of such a night trip but

if you want to get there chepest buy yourself a banger of a car for about £50, then sell it when you get there. they did it on top gear and they worked it out as cheaper than a train trip. but that was uk trains so im not sure about europe...

walk along the road wagging your thumb, try to dress neatly, drivers don't like picking up hitchers dressed like tramps with great big muddy boots and a smell???
