My boyfriend wants me to pick an island and possibly get married while there. Do we need to get passports to go to the Virgin Islands from the USA and stay a month or so? Will our marraige be valid if we choose to do so here in the states?

Has anyone every stayed at this Hotel (not sure if I would call it a resort)?? I'm doing my wedding through Royal Caribbean cruise lines and chose St. Thomas for the wedding location, and this is where they do it. I have read some horrible reviews about this place, but Royal Romance assures me that this is "a beautiful property". Someone PLEASE give me an honest review.

I really have a bad life here in Michigan, I move all the time and cold weather brings me down. I have no time to go to school with my job and its impossible to find a new job here. I want to be somewhere warm with friendly women.

This will be the 3rd marriage for my fiance and myself, but this is the keeper. We want to keep it small, but memorable. My dream is to marry on a beach, barefoot. Any Suggestions? Also, we won't have any problem with legality in the United States? We live in Illinois right now.

Thanks to all.

I'm spending a week in St. John this August. I've been to Jost on day trips, but I'd like to spend more time there and maybe a night partying at Foxy's. Where can I stay for the night? Are there any places that rent single rooms for the night?

St. John, USVI was first thought. It has to be a pristine beach with beautiful colored water.

I will be going to the Virgin Islands in September and have never taken a flight with a stopover. My question is would it be preferable to stop in Puerto Rico or Miami. Considering passport requirements and all I'm wondering which would be easier. Also I will be traveling with my 7 year old nephew and the stopover is about 5 hours in P.R. and 3 in Miami.

We were thinking about taking the kids to the us virgin islands and wondered if there was a mcdonalds on any of the islands.
Thanks.

I am wanting to move to St.thomas in the us virgin islands , i am married and have a son that is 4. We currently live in houston texas. I have lived in singapore when i was younger so it is not that crazy of a thought for me. My husband is a fine dining restraunt manager, and i am a stay at home mom.
My family and I have been to St.thomas and many other carribean islands and have a real passion for the life style and beauty of these places. I know about the culture "island time" and that some islanders dont really like people from the main land...is that everyone , or just those with a bad additude.?
Does anyone have any suggestions, or anyone live there who can give me some advice.....
hey my thought is, there are so many wonderful places in this world and my husband makes his living in a career that he can do anywhere, so why just stay in one place...

I was thinkin St. Thomas (Sugar Bay) as the main island, but don't know if I should make reservations for any of the other islands (including British) or stay stay in one and just go for the day.
