Looking for downright cheap accomodations in Puerto Rico. I figure the less I spend on accomodations, the longer I can afford to stay. Traveling with 14 year old son. Would be fine with a tiny cabana on the beach. Nothing fancy needed. Would like to travel around the island and stay in a few different places. Please help!

I want to improve my Spanish skills, & I can still receive SSI & Social Security, & I can still be a US citizen. I'm tired of the U.S.A. & need a BIG break, & so many people want to hurt me, including my family. I have my college degree in Spanish, & I want to pursue my career as a Spanish translator & interpreter.

hatchery operated by the "Coastal Restoration Institute & Marketing Cooperative" would be hosted by and financially boot strapped by "Arks Landing", a proposed eco-tourism hotel aboard a 30,000 square foot ocean going quarters barge (x-US navy). Preliminary plans with art work are nearly complete. We expect that the vessel will be brought ashore in a suitable spot that is too vulnerable to hurricanes for any other development usage.

I was on a cruise this past year and one of our stops was a stopover in Puerto Rico. I was in a cool little corner pub close to a Cruise Ship dock and met a very cute bartender. She told me Biegas was gorgeous and very fun! Would this be a good spot to visit and chill out for a week?

I applied for an expedited passport with my original birth certificate from Puerto Rico. I just found out today that everything's delayed because my certificate is in Spanish. Now the passport people have KEPT my original certificate and I have to request a certified copy from Puerto Rico and get it translated if its not in English. I can't get any one to answer at the PR phone number listed for birth certificate requests. I did send my request in overnite mail w/an overnite mail envelope tucked in for them to send my copies to me. I wrote a letter asking for rush service. Can any one answer my questions? Thanks!

I am staying at the north-eastern end, so near there would be ideal. ;)

My friend is not a US citizen but would like to visit Puerto Rico on vacation. She has a California driver's license and is wondering if that will be enough information for her to enter and exit Puerto Rico. It is difficult to get a passport from her original country and she only has her Driver's license. WIll she be deported if she goes to Puerto Rico? SHe often travels to places such as Alaska and Hawaii with just her driver's licence and ID with out any issues. Is puerto rico the same way?

My boyfriend and I are going to San Juan and have never been there before. Is it a good idea to rent a car and is there parking in the city? I read that it is somewhat expensive to take a car everywhere you go. Anyone have any thoughts??
