I think I gave you plenty of great options already. They are all great, trust me! I used to work for the PR Tourism company and worked in Old San Juan for a very long time. Ah! and I love to eat out!

scorpionippity's suggestions are all good; I would add Parrot Club in Fortaleza St in Old San Juan (right across Aguaviva and Dragonfly) and La Bombonera in San Francisco St for inexpensive breakfast in a century-old restaurant. If you go there try the buttered warm "Mallorcas" (a sweet bread)... Enjoy your visit!
