Hi,

I went to Cuba a few months ago and loved it. The beaches were beautiful the people were very friendly and we stayed at a great resort. My friend's husband is very much against taking a vacation in Cuba as it is a communist country and he says if you go there you are supporting communism. Is he right? I guess I never really thought about it before. I was thinking of going back in a few years but now I'm not sure. Any advice?

Thanks

We are both british citizens. I need to organise a venue and someone to marry us. Also I need to know exactly what documents are required as there seem to be mixed reviews on net.

I'm holidaying in Cuba soon and I've been advised by friends to take the US dollar for tipping cuban nationals. The US dollar is no longer widely accepted in Cuba, replaced instead by the Convertible Cuban Peso, which is about the same value as the dollar and used by visitors to the island. Can anyone help?

We were having a debate about this. Hypothetically, if an American wanted to visit Cuba (thru Mexico lets say), should they be worried about getting caught by the United States? And if caught, should they be worried about the consequences? Thanks.

I am a new high school math teacher, male, and single. Have never been to the Caribbean or Latin America, but would love to teach down there (I had a few offers). One of my biggest concerns frankly is the type of women, as I am ready for marriage and LOVE Latin, black, and mulatta women. However, I would like to find someone smart, educated, assertive, physically fit. I worry that such women are few and far between in some of these places, because of poverty (feel sorry for them).

The countries I am considering are Trinidad, Cuba, Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Colombia, and Venezuela. My ideal woman would be smart, assertive, athletic, tough, and swarthy. Thank you in advance!

Do you need special permission? If so, where do you get it or what do you have to do. Cuba is a tourist destination from Canada. Would I be able to enter from Canada or would this be against our governments regulations?
