Due to the embargo of the last 40 years or so, it is illegal for Americans to spend money in Cuba. This is your government protecting your rights. In this case, you have the right to not go to Cuba. The thinking is the embargo will force Castro from office. The plan is due for review in a few hundred years, or "right away" in government terms.

Because no one is allowed into cuba or out of cuba, their communists and if you try to go in or leave you will be shot. It's a terrible thing but it s true. Its not safe for cruise ships to go anywhere near cuba

I think it has to do with the fact that the cruise ships carry alot of Americans and so it doesn't go to Cuba its all to do with politics

Because any ship that sails out of Miami or another US Port would be violating about a dozen laws if it sailed into Havana.
The Cubans would be happy to have them stop in, it's Bush and company who are irrational about travel to Cuba.

Because most cruiseships carry mainly American passengers and they are not supposed to go to Cuba. Lots of Canadians and Europeans go there on package holidays. Heard it is great.
