If you travel to Cuba:

You are supporting a godless dictator

You are helping to keep millions in poverty

You are undermining US authority

All in all, any travel to Cuba is illegal and immoral.

I recenty visited Cuba on holiday and was shocked by the poor living conditions and rationing of basic items such as soap, toilet paper, pens. Some of the farm buildings had no electricity or running water. With the billions brought in by tourism surely this should be happening?

Is it legal to travel through Canada to get there, or is that asking for trouble? My Canadian niece is getting married in Cuba, but I do not know if, or how, we can attend from the States.

I've been trying to book a flight on-line to Cuba for vacation. Apparently Cuba is not allowing flights from the U.S. Is there still conflict between the U.S and Cuba which does not allow travel to Cuba even if you are a U.S citizen?

any expats out there with opinions? I'm thinking of maybe teaching high school math down there, and wonder what the life style is like, compared to back in the North. I am a single male, if that is relevant. Gracias.

My family hails from here and I'd like to know what's there now, but as an American, I can't go and see for myself. If anyone is going to Santiago de Cuba and you're in the neighborhood..... You can email me at webmaster@miamirelocationguide.com.

I read that only the hotel lobbies and public areas are maintained in an effort to conceal their true dilapidated condition. True or not? Please tell me when you went and the condition of your room.
