I am planning to stay in Sydney for a couple of days after WYD.
However, am quite lost on where to go.. I am very interested to stay in a ski resort as I am quite crazy about it.(hmm there's no snow in asia) Thing is, I am not sure if I want to stay in the resort for 2 or 3 days as I am not into skiing and stuff. I just want to maximise my stay in Sydney as much as possible. Any suggestions?

Would this trip be fun? Or too much nothingness out there?? How long would it take? What other trips would you suggest in Oz for this summer?

Hello there, I'm from Brazil, I would like to travel too Austrailia for a week.

There seems to be a rise of racism in western nations. Just recently a girl from south America was assaulted for visiting a friend in Europe.

And I remember reading about a racist mob attacking foreigners in Sydney a couple of years back.

So is it safe? I appologize but I'v only been to other latin American countries and the United States.

Ok, I'm planning to go to Sydney and maybe Melbourne also next summer. Starting now, besides the cost of the trip, how much should I save up to be able to afford a moderately nice trip? I'm not looking to spend a fortune everyday I'm there. I was thinking of saving a $100 a month for the trip. What do you think? And, there are tons of books available on the subject of visiting Australia. Which is the best? Or is there a website that would be more informative, more accurate, or up to date? I want my trip to be enjoyable and worth every penny. I'd also like to know some cool gay-friendly places there as well. Thanks for your responses.

Hey There,
My name is Felix and Im a student in Sydney, Australia with about a year left of high school.
My grades are very steady and I should finish with a very capable UAI (University Admission Index).
Ive been thinking of what to do ahead, and its always been my passion to become a firefighter.
However I am worried about this occupation. Is it considered a 'less respectable job'? Will the pay allow me to live a comfortable life? And would it be possible to find a job as a firefighter in another nation?
I would appreciate it very much if ppl could share thoughts/experiences on living as a firefighter

Cheers, Felix
