You can ride them but NOT like a horse.
I have five "roos" and ride each one.
The favorite is "Big Red".
I ride him every afternoon to collect the mail which is 2.5 miles to our front gate.
I hop in his pouch and off he goes,to steer him you simply move your weight from one side to the other and he goes in that direction.
Sitting down so low makes you feel the speed he travels at and not like the horse don't have to stop to open and close gates big red will jump a 6 foot fence with no problems.
One thing I did find in my early days is,a hard hat is a must because many time on the way back to the house he wants to stop to make "baby's" and this lasts for 40 minutes and when you are in his pouch for that length of time you will get thrown around hitting your head a lot.
Since the horse flue they cant race horses so the jockeys race "roos" Big Red has won 2 races and came 2nd twice.
It is great fun riding in a roo so come on down and have a go.

Well if you want to ride somthing that is only 40cm high you go right ahead. But so far as the big guys like Foresters Greys or Reds well they are a lot bigger and just one of the bug**rs would put the entire all blacks team either on their rear end, in hospital, or the morgue...and that is NO exageration. Roos can be tamed to tolerating pats and hand feeding but even so can be agressive if they dont get what they want let alone if you did something stupid like grabbing it from behind and trying to jump on it. The roo will see you as threat and have no hestiation in retaliating.
Roos have great big nasty teeth that can do real damage, their fore arms work just like ours and they can grab onto things and hang on (they drown pursuing dogs this way by going into a river waiting for the dogs then grabbing them and holding them under the water) when they fight they rock back onto their tail and then are able to lash out with their back legs and will very easily disembowel anything in front of them. These are big dudes that weigh as much as a person and would make a champion kick boxer look like a beginner (not to mention the huge vicious claws that will rip anything apart)....if you are FOOL enough to go mess with these dudes.. make sure you call police and an undertaker BEFORE you start.. because you will need them!

You can't ride kangaroos, most Australians have never seen one outside a zoo. You do have to be careful with dropbears, though, they have recently moved into the parks in the city and are causing problems. They are removed if found but the best preventative is to wash your hair with urine. They leave you alone if you do that.

Be careful. They used to have a meat eating kangaroo. It was a big one too. You cannot ride on a kangaroo's back. You shouldn't try boxing with one either.

NO !!
We do not have Kangaroos in cities. Only in zoos and rural areas.
In some of the zoos you are not even allowed to touch the Kangaroos.
You can not ride on them, as you'll be to fat for em.
The kangaroos attack people when they fill they are in danger.
NEVER touch a kangaroo while not in zoos, and do as you have been told in zoos.

Doubt it. Kangaroos are hard to control, they jump up and down nonstop to places. Besides, they have nowhere for you to sit on them cuz they stand upstraight and dont have a back like a horse PLUS i doubt anyone could fit into its sack.

yep just outside the opera house you can hire them by the hour but must bring your own saddle & remember we ride on the left side of the road here

most definately not!!!! kangaroos are not domesticated,you can go to a zoo and pat themj but you do not approach them in the wild especiall males.
They can actually be pretty dangerous, it they attack you they stab you with their sharp claws (they rare back on their tails and use their back legs)
You can pet them but that is about it... and take it from me they are not that interesting anyway :)
