What kind of Accommodation are you looking for there are a few good self contained boarding residences in the city cheaper or around this price range that is in the CBD or eastern suburbs near the beaches.

You won't get much for $200 a week. If that is all you can afford you would be better sharing. Look at the Sydney Morning Herald on a Saturday http://www.smh.com.au The classified advertisements have share accommodation as well as houses and flats to rent. Start early, all the best places go quickly.

You'd have to move a bit further away from the city for $200 p/w. Maybe around Ashfield, Aurburn Burwood area. You wouldn't get anything too big or nice though.
Probably best to look at sharehousing

Penrith's looking your best bet.
$200 pw will get you nothing close to the city

You could also try share accommodation from www.gumtree.com.au
Many places in Sydney will be more expensive than $200pw if you want to live on your own - but it depends how far from the city you are willing to live.
